It’s funny (kinda) to see all the crazy excuses people have and all the mental junk many are living with… 

It STOPS them from succeeding and from living in true abundance

Here’s a few excuses I’ve heard along the way as it relates to Network Marketing, MLM or a Home Based Business….

I have no time, need to do more research, can’t sell, don’t want to sell, no money, don’t know anyone, it’s a pyramid, need to think about it, don’t want to bother my friends, tried that before, don’t want more money, have to ask my Doctor, don’t want to do meetings, need to speak to my husband/wife, don’t want to lose my unemployement check, too young/too old…

Really?

Who actually believes any of that?

In business: You either Make Money or you Make Excuses BUT not both!

Personally, I’m not in the convincing business.

So, if someone is too negative, has too much mental baggage or not really open-minded…they can go tell someone else with their reasons on:

….Why they can’t succeed, learn or do this or that.

I heard Anthony Robbins talk about this several years ago: People live with their stories (their lies) about why they can’t do this or that.

Sad but true…

This stops so many good people from living a life by design, a life of true abundance (time and money freedom)

Lots of people have Stinkin’ Thinkin’ so my advice is two-fold…

1) Don’t YOU get stuck being around people or prospects like this; Keep Moving Forward!

2) If the above is you; get into some Personal Development books and audios in order to gain some belief in yourself, in possibility thinking and put more “good in” to replace the bad stuff, the negative stuff, the poor conditioning and the things that make you, doubt you.

Get around Doers…Action Takers and people that that are chasing their goals and dreams.

Here are my thoughts as well as excerpts from a great little book called The Four Year Career to put things in perspective:

So…how do you generate a great residual and/or passive income?

You could save a TON of money (at least One Million Dollars) and then invest that at 4%, 5%, 7% and derive an annual or monthly inome.

One Million Dollars at 6% is $60,000 in earnings or about $5,000 monthly.

Not bad, as long as you have One Million sitting around (or more) or can do this in the next handful of months. (Sure…)

Here’s an idea!

Buy Real Estate and build wealth that way. Not a bad idea as long as you have the financial strength for down payments, staying power, non-paying tenants, repairs, unforeseen expenses and you either want to be a landlord or willing to fix and flip, etc.

I like Real Estate personally but the problem is we’ve had slipping values the last few years and this is not a bad idea but can be risky and usually requires a strong invesment.

Yes, my final example is Network Marketing (not company specific)

Why?

1. You can build it part-time, any time.

2. You can build it from anywhere, any city, any virtual office.

3. You can launch it for less than $1,000.

4. You are “in business” for yourself, but not by yourself, meaning your host company will do all the heavy investing and lifting.

5. You can create enough tax deductions alone each year to make it worthwhile.

6. You can learn it while you earn it. You can create cash flow your first month.

7. You can earn an extra $500, $1,000, $5,000 or more a month; every month to invest in the traditional options of real estate and equities.

8. And the most valuable and lucrative benefit is that of Residual Royalty Income and its asset value. Built in the right company (key point), one that has proven it pays over the long haul, that income can, and should be there forever.

Going back to the example of One Million Dollars saved and invested at 6% ($60,000 in interest income earned)….

This can be achieved by generating a $5,000 a month income in Network Marketing. All compensation plans are different but in my business model and plan, that would be a team (anywhere on your team) of only about 250 people.

It would be a loaded question (impossible for you to get it wrong) as to which is easier to achieve: saving one million dollars or building a team of 250 people.

Yes, 250 is the right answer!

Robert Kiyosaki, best-selling author of Rich Dad; Poor Dad, Cash Flow Quadrant and more had this to say about the profession:

“Direct Selling gives people the opportunity, with very low risk and very low financial commitment to build their own income-generation asset and acquire great wealth”

The Network Marketing model has come of age and come full circle where it is a professional and viable business model that can be learned and utilized as a great “income vehicle” by all who take the time to undertand it, apply it and certainly go with a great, long term company that truly offers a lucartive compensation plan as well as a “real world” marketng system that can level the playing field for people of all backgrounds and experience levels.

I’m certainly not an expert but I recall “considering” aligning with a Health and Wellness company last year and was doing my due diligence….

I checked with people in nutrition, others in fitness and discovered lots of negative opinions on the long term use of Soy Protein; in baby food, meal replacement shakes and drinks, etc.

I didn’t go with that company for other reasons and surely I couldn’t accept aligning with what seemed to be an inferior alternative that could negatively affect people just to make a few bucks. However, the following read will open the eyes of many.

Here’s an excerpt from a Tom Mower Sr., Chief Scientist of a major manufacturer in the same Health and Wellness space and his insights on Soy Protein…

Soy and its components may make you age much faster and accelerate health decline as it might increase early onset of disease….personal opinion for your review.

“Genistein depletes telomerase activity” through cross-talk between genetic and epigenetic mechanisms (a condensed paraphrasing of this significant health risk) Excerpts from a study at: Department of Biology, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, AL, USA.   2009 Jul 15 Abstract recap Genistein, a natural isoflavone found in soybean products, has been reported to down-regulate telomerase activity.

However, the precise molecular mechanism by which genistein represses telomerase is not clear. Here, we show that genistein inhibits the transcription of hTERT (human telomerase reverse transcriptase), the catalytic subunit of the human telomerase enzyme, in a time- and dose-dependent manner. Three major DNA methyltransferases (DNMT1, 3a and 3b) were also decreased in genistein-treated breast cancer cells suggesting that genistein may repress hTERT by impacting epigenetic pathways.

Sequential depletion of the hTERT promoter revealed that the hTERT core promoter region is responsible for the genistein-induced repression of hTERT transcription. We found an increased binding of E2F-1 to the hTERT promoter is due to the site-specific hypomethylation of the E2F-1 recognition site.

In addition, we found that genistein can remodel chromatin structures of the hTERT promoter by increasing trimethyl-H3K9 but decreasing dimethyl-H3K4 in the hTERT promoter. The repression of hTERT was enhanced by combination with genistein and the DNMT inhibitor, 5-aza-2′-deoxycytidine (5-aza-dCyd).

These findings collectively show that genistein is working, at least in part, through epigenetic mechanisms of telomerase inhibition using an epigenetic modulator combined with genistein. Person Opinion Summarization: Genistein, an isoflavone from Soy, will decrease telomerase activity.

Telomerase activity is the mechanism that rebuilds telomeres and extends lifespan in mammals including mankind. By decreasing telomerase activity, cellular activity may decrease rapidly, potentially speeding up the deterioration of the body, increasing the rate of aging and the early onset of debilitating physical conditions and the very real possibility of a variety of degenerative diseases.

The prognosis of decreasing telomerase is not a pleasant one to think of, as bones, tissues, skin, hair, eyes, brain, hearing, and organs may more rapidly deteriorate, function less efficiently and lead to the potential of rapidly declining health and fitness.

It is a potential threat to long term health that many believe is hardly worth the benefits that some may find soy might possess. Soy is generally a cheap substitute for crude proteins used for nutrition.

There are many known side effects from soy use including estrogenic activities that have the potential to harm the fetus in the womb to the adult. It may affect the ability of males to develop normally and females to over develop. In addition that is a possibility of many potentially harmful effects including carcinogenic ones.

Wow!

That’s an interesting read and certainly I would suggest everyone do their own research but soy protein is not the way to go for me and my family.

The Network Marketing model seems to be misunderstood by many and yet it is a $125 Billion a year industry!

Some people see some version of the following:

Enroll 4 people (on your first level)

Help those 4 people get 4 each (16 on your second level)

Teach those 16 to get their 4 each (64 on your third level)

Show those 64 to do the same (256 people on your fourth level).

Develop the group (repeat the same pattern) and help those 256 do the same.

Wow…you would have 1,024 on your fifth level alone!

People see this and many get excited but they must also have a dream and pay a little attention to this.

The truth is others like it too BUT they feel it is, Too Good To Be True.

I guess my question is: What’s wrong with that?

It’s a proven and viable model and on top of that it feels good and sounds too good to be true…. sounds like a great path to follow.

Did you know almost 16 million people are already involved in Network Marketing in the U.S. alone? (and 75 million people worldwide)

Let’s me boil this down and keep it real.

This is NOT a something for nothing business as some people might think…

You can’t have a lottery mentality and expect to succeed in Network Marketing…

The investment is ridiculously low for a business; $200 to $1,000 or so in most cases…

There’s no rent to pay, no employees and solid companies even have state-of-the-art marketing systems, back offices, technology and more…

The upside is HUGE and many are Six-Figure earners and tons and tons use this as an additional income stream of 2-3-5k a month….

People that chase all those free deals (or pre-launch after pre-launch and start-ups) often caught up in Chasing, Bright-Shiny Objects and never really see success. This has created some issues where people may confuse our profession with these companies or the poor choices people make.

My advice is pick a company that’s been around at least 5 years, ideally a manufacturer of their own high quality products (better products and more money in the compensation plan), a compensation plan that actually makes “real world” sense and gives you a lucrative opportunity to earn an above average part-time or full-time income.

The other factors are to learn from a great coach/enroller, make sure you have an awesome marketing system, operating in multiple countries for lightning fast growth as well as for those that want to do online marketing and a company you can identify to be poised for massive growth.

There are tons and tons of ways to introduce people to you business.

I consider myself a student of this profession and make it a point to read, listen and continue to study information in my profession; the profession of Team-Building and creating volume (and income) with a viable model called Network Marketing or MLM.
