The classic Beatles’ song says “Money can’t buy me love,” but happiness may be another story.

A new poll by the Marist Institute for Public Opinion suggests the price tag for pure bliss can be as little as $50,000.

An annual income of anything less, the survey shows, and people just aren’t as satisfied with their lives. The previous tipping point was $75,000, according to a 2010 Princeton University study, which showed that people didn’t get any happier once their income passed that threshold.

The new study doesn’t contradict the 2010 figure, meaning you could still get happier if your income rises from $50,000 to $75,000, but it’s still nice to see the base price go down for happiness but sad to see it is a result of the economy.

Time and Money Freedom:

To me it means earning a good to great income AND having the time to enjoy your life.

It doesn’t mean you have to earn one million dollars a year; it means that you earn enough to fund your lifestyle in a manner that offers you choices such as no alarm clocks, coming and going as you please, funds to do the things you want such as travel, college education for your children or grandchildren and why not…accomplishing some of the things on your “bucket list”.

Choices…

For others, it can mean simply more choices with earning an extra thousand or two thousands dollars a month.

It’s often overlooked but what can this “extra” money do for you, for your family, how would it make you feel and what would it to for your lifestyle?

Unless someone is living in a cave or in total denial…there is now so much mainstream evidence to support that a Home Based Business, Direct and Online Sales and/or Network Marketing is a growing trend.

Direct sales exceeded $125 billion in 2010 and U.S. Census reports state that as much as 49% of households are involved in some Home Based Business.

However, this is where we must separate the hype from the reality….

As much as I support the profession I DO NOT support the hype that tells you that you can join something for free, do very little and make a bunch of money!

I also don’t think that because some GURU is walking across stage because he/she is earning 50-100k a month; that this should somehow blind you to select a company, compensation plan and more as part of your decision and what’s best for YOU.

In fact, this is a terrible way to choose a company by the mere fact that someone else is earning X dollars.

Take time to understand how you’re going to get paid and what you need to do in order to earn that upfront or “residual” income and don’t confuse one-time bonuses, fast start bonuses, 8-9-10 ways to get paid and more with residual income.

I say this because, most people get into this profession because they want to do the work to build a team, (large or small) and then enjoy residual income. That’s income that pays you month after month even though you already did the work and now you simply continue to drive your business but with lots of time freedom.

In a minute, you’ll be able to watch the totally generic video (no products, company or sales pitches) about this profession in order to begin to understand how to succeed and develop a successful business.

However, I want you to know that network marketing is like any other business as far as treating it “like” a business, putting in the effort to succeed, thinking and acting like an entrepreneur, creating goals and a plan to succeed, etc.

The difference stops there as there is a huge upside income potential but with a low start up cost and investment.

This business model does not require any prior experience and you don’t have to be the “sales” type to succeed but you should be someone that is willing to learn a system and then teach it so others can succeed as this is a main premise to team building.

Often times, (not always) there is a willing coach or leader to teach and train you and help you get started right. This is a key component in my opinion as you will want to connect with someone that you feel can help you and they don’t have to be the guru on stage but should be someone accessible, that you trust and that you can see team building with now and later.

This business offers little to no risk and yet you have the chance to build an ongoing residual income and you can even begin part-time (not spare time).

You can begin to create your own economy.

In addition, if you have tried and failed at network marketing in the past it may have been the wrong time for you, you may have given up too soon, had the wrong coach, the wrong compensation or you just didn’t make an honest effort to succeed and give yourself the time needed to see success.

If you’re not experiencing success now, then evaluate and either get going in your present business or consider a change as a fresh start but only you can make that determination.

First of all, I’m a little biased here.

I was a traditional business owner for over 20 years and even though I earned six figure plus income for many of those years; the quality of life I now (and for the last several years)have the pleasure of experiencing is a true blessing for our family.

Gone are the days of 4 separate office rents and one at $6,800 a month.

Gone are the days of employees, payroll taxes, franchise fees and all the related expenses and hassles.

Gone are the days of managing a ton of staff and salespeople.

However, this post is not about money. It’s about my path in a Home Based Business.

I’m a Network Marketing professional (team builder) and an online marketer, (I sell stuff…and teach others how to do that too)

I enjoy a 20-Step commute, go out with my family any day for lunch or down to the beach near our home in Carlsbad, California.

The bottom line….choices.

We travel often and our 7 year old twins have been on more vacations in their young lives than in my first 30 years of life!

I don’t say that to impress you but to impress upon you of what is available to ANYONE that wants it and is willing to go after it.

Most of what I do is online, internet based and the telephone, so I have no geographic boundries.

This allowed us to rent a lake home last year for 5 weeks, take other vacation time as well as a recent “vacation” for 2 1/2 months on the coast of Mexico without skipping a beat.

As long as I have internet access, my cell phone or in the case of international travel; Skype…then we are good to go….

Here’s  an “ordinary” life…

• Active income or trading time for money (work an hour and get paid an hour, Stop working and you stop getting paid)
• I owe, I owe so off to work I go! (debts, credit cards, etc)
• The economoc crisis…unemployed and broke
• No time! 2 weeks of vacation a year (most places you want to go, you can’t afford and others “stay home” for their vacation)
• Not enough hours in the day. Yep, little time with your family
• Read any good books lately? Many are surrounded by complaining co-workers or friends. This means you get…a negative thought process
• This is not a way to live….you worry constantly
• I want to feel safe! You never take chances and your job IS the new risky thing to do…
• Boring! You don’t experience new cool stuff or enough adventure.
• Same old stuff….you’re stuck in a ”routine” kind of life
• I just LOVE my job! Sure you do..(some exceptions of course). You have answer to a mean boss and worse yet; commute.

Sisel International- The Beginning

Sisel International was founded in 2006 by Tom Mower Sr. along with his son Tom Mower Jr.  They have an excellent track record and Tom Mower Sr. founded a company in 1978, which was later was known as Neways International. The company went on to become a Billion Dollar a year company and is still in business today. Sisel has some very experienced leaders on their corporate team to include their VP of Global Sales, Aaron Rennert. I had the opportunity to speak with Tom Mower Sr., Aaron Rennert and others on the corporate staff and am impressed by their depth of knowledge, professionalism and experience.

Sisel International is based in Utah, they operate in 32+ countries (and adding more) including Canada, Thailand, Germany, Japan, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Spain, Portugal, Italy and the United Kingdom.  From the sale of his prior company and smart business moves, Tom Mower Sr. has amazing financial strength and invested $150 million of his own money to make Sisel International a major force to be reckoned with in the Direct Sales and Network Marketing profession. The state-of-the-art 400,000 square foot manufacturing facility is truly impressive.  This allows Sisel to control the entire production process of their products.

Unlike. the 85% plus companies in the network marketing profession; they are a manufacturer and this is a game changer for those considering partnering with a long term vision in mind. When it comes to the products, Sisel International has 150+ products in over 12 product categories. They have products ranging from, weight loss and weight loss systems, a cutting edge and healthy energy drink, liquid nutritionals (not juices), beauty and cosmetics, skin care products, hair care products, dental care products, home care, anti-aging line AND now even a Reverse-Aging product that shows huge promise for customers and Brand Partners alike.  Theres more, so check their website for details.

I want to reiterate that the line of liquid nutritionals are of superior quality and FuCoyDon was recently approved by the Thai FDA which makes this the first time that has occurred in that country for this product category. Recently they have been featured in newspapers on Sisel Limu Mui (FuCoyDon) in Thailand. However, Eternity and SpectraMaxx should be reviewed in order to understand the science and health benefits of The Triangle of Life series.

As an example: Eternity is a highly potent liquid that is geared to provide many health benefits including improved vitality, enhanced energy levels and weight loss support. You’ll find many third party documentation and validation on the products on the company site. Overall, they look to be very high quality products.

Sisel International Business Opportunity

You can become a Sisel International Brand Partner by paying a nominal start-up fee of $19.95 (plus your product order/pack) and then maintaining a monthly auto-purchase. This is standard in the profession and every successful company has an auto-purchase option in order to create long term stability and residual income.

The Sisel International compensation plan has a unilevel foundation and it pays up to 9 compressed levels and 67%. Hands down this is so much more than almost every other company in the profession (pay attention to levels 2-6 with a full 10% commission payout). They provide many other ways you can make money and get paid.

A new Brand Partner can begin earning almost immediately with the Fast Start Bonus Program. It’s divided in 3 parts and has a very high payout of 60% of the first order.

When you enroll someone into your Sisel business, you’ll receive a weekly payout of that first order for 30% (ie: $60, $105 or $300).

Next is the Enroller pool volume, where you can earn 1-5 “shares” for each person you enroll with a qualifying pack. The share values varies from about $40-$100 per share). As an example, (on a $350 pack) you would earn you $105 plus $90 (1.5 shares) for $195 in commisisons for that same person/enrollment. You can enroll as many people as you want weekly and/or monthly and get paid via your e-wallet (back office transfer).

As of this writing Sisel International is offering a promotion to enroll 5 people on the top pack ($1,000) and you can earn over $4,000 in commisions!

That’s some serious income and helps people get off to a great start. Even without the promotion the income is still thousands of dollars for the enrolling Brand Partner.

If that is not enough, there is a 6 level payout of the first order in the Fast Start Bonus Program that pays you when others are joining. It seems to be a great way to create synergy, team building and of course additonal income.

There’s also a car program for part-time and full-time Brand Partners for up to $1,000 a month for a luxury car, excellent generation and infinity bonuses, preferred customer income, the momentum bonus and more. When comparing other compensation plans; Sisel International seems to payout 3-4 times more than most others in the profession and without some of the hoop jumping, leg structure requirements and “gotchas” that seem so common in Network Marketing. Sisel seems to be a very lucrative business venture.

Sisel International Summary

In closing, Sisel International is an extremely solid company with lot of credibility. In my opinion they are here for the long term. Their management team is strong, they have high quality products and their compensation plan is very generous.

They have a very mainstream look and feel and attract men, women young and mature due to the product line and company brand. In addition, their model attracts lots and lots of customers (Brand Partners get paid on all volume; customers and the other Brand Partners on your team) and that’s a major positive for ths profession.

All the above is great BUT even with all of these positive points, it doesn’t mean you’ll automatically succeed just by joining the company.

If you decide to join Sisel, there’s a way to get a an edge and a competitive advantage. The first thing you want to do is to find a mentor, trainer and coach that has already had success in the industry adn that can help you avoid making the same mistakes that most distributors in the industry make.

Next, you’ll want to learn two very important skills:

1) How to become a leader (leadership training, learning and teaching the system, building depth, personal growth and more)

2) How to actually market your business (who to  talk to, online and offline marketing, marketing systems and lead generation)

These two skills encompass what is needed to succeed and to that add-in that you must be  coach-able, have a good attitude (no prior experience is needed) and you need to have great reasons WHY you want to have a Home Based Business.

In other words, not just the 3- 5-10k a month; but what that will do for you, for your loved ones and how that will impact your life in a positive way. (travel, more time, retiring a spouse from their commute and job, a better zip code, more fun, a 20-step commute and any other personal and professional goals and aspirations)

These skills I mentioned above are needed if you want to earn a part-time income of $2,000, $3,000 or $5,000 a month OR whether you are pursuing bigger dreams and goals with a 100k+ annual income.

There’s a major problem happening in  your city, in your neighborhood and possibly in your home…

It’s called “Excusitis”…are you suffering from it?

This is a scary disease that affects tons of people daily.  A lot of smart and talented people are living below their standards because of this failure disaease! They’re getting paid less than they’re worth, most likely living a life that they do not desire and maybe even in constant frustration.

This disease is where the ‘patient’ finds tons of excuses to justify their lack of action.

I work in a Home Based Business in Network Marketing (MLM) and in online Direct Sales and I see people daily that want more from life, that really want to make more money but they suffer from excusitis.

Some things people say:

I have no money…

I have no time…

I don’t know “how” to do it or “how” to talk to people, etc (Blah, Blah, Blah).

I don’t know anyone, not good at selling, don’t understand computers, too shy, too this or too that… (it’s time to wake up!)

The problem is I only hear these excuses as a result of someone wanting to earn money and then hearing all the reasons why they “can’t” do something. The real tragedy is these people go along in life offering these excuses in all they do or rather in all things they “don’t” do. (read that again, that was a good one…)

People that suffer from this disease usually have a mindset that’s all wrong and must admit it to themselves first  and then take immediate steps to change..

“If only I had more money to start a business”

“If only I knew more people”

“If only this or that”….

That’s a poverty mentality and will not serve anyone. It’s really sad for me to see people with potential (everyone is born with greatness) but that suffer from this disease that afflicts so many. Furthermore, it spreads to their spouse, their children, their grandchildren and then they find others to spend time with; that have the same disease.

Sad…very sad…

These excuses made are sometimes so  powerful in the mind of the person, that the person who makes them tends to believe that they are 100%  true.

Your belief in something determines your thoughts and in turn, your reality.

If you believe you’re not worth being at the top of your company, if you believe that you can’t make $10,000 residual per month.. then guess what? You’re right!

The way to achieve great things becomes clear once you start thinking positive.

Wow! Is it as easy as that?

Yes! You need to start thinking positive as that is the first step to cure this disease.

The next step? Get around doers and action takers and then YOU take action now! (and keep taking action).

Decide to take responsibility for your life and just DO IT.

Decide to stop making excuses for yourself as to why you can’t.

Develop a “can-do” attitude and get around the right people and start reading a few pages daily of a good personal growth book (or audio).

Here are a few thoughts:

1) Get a Plan and Stick To Your Plan

This is HUGE and you must have some direction with your Network Marketing Business (or MLM, Direct Sales, etc).

Get a daily method of operation (a couple of hours a day is okay) and have great clarity of some simple steps to get done each and every day.

That might be running Sol Ads, doing videos, blog posts, article marketing, running classifieds, following up with people, etc.

Stick to your plan, stay consistent and keep going.

Get rid of the distractions and focus for the one, two or three hours a day.

2) Daily progress

You must be in the game each and every day; even if you’re part-time.

This is more a matter of discipline than anything else. Your skills will come in time and in the meantime you must focus and take actions that will push your business forward each and every day.

All that matters is that you make daily progress..

3) Mastermind and Network with others

This can absolutely ROCK your success!

A Home Based and/or Online Business can get a little lonely. Make sure you’re connecting and learning from others.

You’ll get great ideas from others and then learn to add you personal twist to it. Don’t for a minute think that you are Super Man or Wonder Woman and that you don’t need others.

By the way, I am not referring to postng on Facebook; I’m talking about getting to know a few like-minded people, participating in Mastermind sessions with a group of people that are all going in the same direction.

Do they need to be the people in your Network Marketing company? Not at all, there are lots of generic groups that won’t conflict with your primary business. Reach out to me if you’d like to take this to a higher level.
