The online world is buzzing with all kinds of ways to make money and of course all sorts of ways to generate those leads….

There are people that encourage you to buy their system so that you generate 50-100 leads daily and others that promote the “secrets” to PPC ads and how you can get 100-200 leads a day and so much more.

These are all fine but you must be careful with hype and cut through the fog to get to the truth.

Let’s look at this a but more simply for a moment. What kind of business are you in and who is your ideal client profile?

In other words, you have to look at who your ideal client is and then go where they are. It’s almost like working or thinking backwards for a minute but you need to figure out where they are and what makes them respond.

Yes, you could “shotgun” your marketing and you’ll make sales but will it be the most effective?

My main point is to identify your client and then decide on 3-5 marketing pillars in order to grow and develop your business; and keep doing the methods that work. By the way, don’t get romanced by the hype. If you can use something that generates 7 leads a day and another strategy that generates 20 and another with 4…and well you get the picture; use multiple strategies to generate the total required leads you need and keep things simple.

One could be online ads, another could be landing pages that PPC ads bring traffic to you, another could be ezine or solo ads and then you should have some offline methods; even with an online business. A couple of examples are people you know or “warm market” or a calling system; whether you do it yourself or you have a service do it for you.

There are many more way but you get the picture and the idea is to have 3-5 methods going at once so you have a constant flow of leads coming to you and some marketing campaigns will work better than others from month to month and this “multi-pillar” style allows you to keep things somewhat consistent and really grow your business.

I have been testing a new program that uses keywords to search and extract leads from the internet and then a system that calls them for you; it’s a numbers game and I like that it’s very simple to use, (non-techie) and inexpensive. This could be one method of the 3-5 to keep running in order to generate the adequate number of leads. I will be writing a review and doing a video on this soon; so look for it.

The bottom line: Employ the “multi-pillar” strategy, launch online and offline strategies no matter your business type and after all you are building a list of people that will eventually know, like and trust you.

Take some risk here and there and maintain the methods that work for you in play and rotate the lesser successes in and out.
