I’m going to prove to you that you don’t fit in. In fact, I didn’t either.

Here’s the good news; we are the kind of people that can make things happen, make great things occur.

You’re a BIG thinker and may not know it yet. You read old books like Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

You’ve told people about it and some may have thought that you are weird. You may have not got it right 100% in the past but that’s okay, you will get a chance to reap the great rewards.

You are destined to be an influencer…

You see, you have been preparing for something BIG and I want to remind you what you have in your head.

That’s right, all those books and the good stuff you’ve been putting into your mind will take off. I don’t care what program or opportunity you’re in…I’m sure it’s a good one.

What you need are 2-3 people to bounce ideas off of, a couple of people that truly cheer you on and reveal to YOU who YOU are. Let’s face it…how much money, real cash are you making in your business right now?

This process will cause you to go to another level, to massively influence others. When you have people around you that support you even if they aren’t your upline, downline, etc., then you are on to something.

Maybe you’ve felt weird about telling people about your program but it doesn’t have to be that way any longer. Your relatives don’t have to understand YOU or your comments from The Magic of Thinking Big, As a Man Thinketh or Think and Grow Rich…

Get around those that think different; that think different like YOU. Soon you will have people listening to you and a business growing. It has little to do with your opportunity or if you’re a good person or go to church or this or that.

The good news is there are millions of people just like you and me.

We are the people that don’t quite fit….

We’re just a little different and we do have vision…

“Hey Al, how come people don’t get it?”

“Hey Al, why do I feel different?”

“Hey Al, why am I so weird?”

You see, you have a dream a desire to be great. The people that you have come across have no difference between their reality and their self image. Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Abe Lincoln and Ben Franklin were all considered weird too.

You aren’t really motivated by money… (really)

Being a capitalist is great; do it!

But you would still be YOU…

It’s okay that most people don’t understand you or don’t see it. It’s supposed to be this way and your mistake has been not understanding these people just see life different. Your friends, neighbors and family are not stupid…they may be ignorant.

They are happy with their $40k a year job and can’t see beyond that. That’s the way it is.

Three kinds of people…

1) Success motivated
2) Failure motivated
3) Mediocrity (big group here..)

Work on YOU and make that YOUR program. Don’t worry, the people will come and you will grow. Be a “can do” person and get around others that think the same way.

“Hey Al, you don’t understand I “use to” do great in this industry” (or in my career, etc)

“Hey Al, people aren’t duplicating”

“Hey Al, I’m just not making enough money and I’ve been in 9 programs”

I can tell you it’s not the program; YOU are the program. Forget hard work or all construction workers would live in mansions.

Perseverance?….. Are you kidding me?

Until you are willing to do WHATEVER it takes (not about hard work or perseverance) then you will keep getting what you have gotten so far.

YOUR program is who YOU become and being able to press on, move forward and doing whatever it takes.

Become the right person and you attract people…

Circulate positive energy and you will get people’s attention…

Are you willing to do anything?

Do you really have will power?

And….

If you have doubt, then there’s something missing in your life. There is a reason you are denying yourself.

BUT you can change that.

Be happy that you’re different…

Combining Old School and Technology to earn money from home (MLM or..?)

I’m asked all the time about how to make money and to be honest with you I hardly knew the answer for a long time. You see I am not much different than you and others that simply want to make some money from home but get caught up in all the fancy systems and techniques; then another one and then another one…

I made tons of money in real estate and mortgages for many years but when the market fell apart I looked at making money from home and chased all the product launches and gurus with this idea and that and finally realized that the answer is not all that complicated.

You might be building a network marketing company, direct sales or simply looking for a way to make $1,000 to $4,000 weekly and want something turnkey without all the hype and craziness.

I’m not here to pitch you on ANY MLM but do want to provide you some insight as to what can work for you as it has for many.

What’s the bottom line?

Well, you need prospects for your business, you need targeted prospects and you need a steady flow of them. Does that make sense?

Of course, that’s only half the story….

Imagine that your goal was not to pitch your business but to focus on building a list of people that you could eventually connect with and then some of them join your business and then imagine making money from the list along the way.

I know this may sound familiar to you but I’m not talking about PPC, SEO or fancy smancy (and costly) ways to try and build your list. The biggest concern people have is that they get confused in “implementing’ this process and marketing funnel.

Here’s what you need:

1) A way to find tons of targeted network markets and people that want to make money from home.
2) A system that will contact all of these people without you making one cold call to any of them.
3) Getting through large numbers to identify those that have an interest and those that don’t (sifting and sorting).
4) A turnkey system that presents your business to people in a professional and ongoing manner.
5) A follow up system that is literally “set and forget” and continues to remind and lead people back to you and your business.
6) A system that can do all this and do it for a nominal expense such as doing all of the above for about $20 bucks per 1,000 network marketers.

Now realize there are tons of ways and strategies to make money online and this way is a little “old school” because it does not require you to be an internet genius and it’s a system that is already done for you.

Hey Champions,

I have been thinking about the following for some time now. The internet is full of information and that’s a good thing AND a bad thing all at the same time.

The are GURU’s are selling their $1,000, $2,000 and $3,000 programs to help you succeed online; then there is another one from a different GURU. Oh, there’s another one!

Plus ALL the information on how to do this and that OR do it this way or that way….

Listen, the information is fantastic in many of these programs and well worth the investment. I should know I have purchased some along the way and there is plenty of information online to show you the way but there is still so much confusion as well. Confusion leads to inaction.

The problem remains is that people are confused as to exactly HOW they can build a home based business and simply make some money. Is this too much to ask for…?

Here is what happened to me and what happens to just about everyone I have talked to about this subject.

It starts with making money online or maybe joining a network marketing company. You have the excitement of getting rich, traveling the world or maybe making a couple of thousand dollars a month to supplement your income and possibly bring your spouse home (if you have one).

The next thing is HOW to build your business online. Well, you read on the internet that you MUST be a social media expert, then another expert tells you to get a blog and you will get tons of leads and still yet others say to build landing page, set up auto-responders and master Pay Per Click to get a bazillion leads a day. Then….

There’s more but you get the picture as there are a TON of things to learn and techniques to implement. By the way, they are all necessary BUT what happens once you are on total information overload? Will another GURU course help or confuse you further?

I have talked to some people that “got it” ALMOST right away and they built marketing funnels and have gone on to succeed in a home based business and of course it is an ongoing process. Unfortunately, many of these are not great teachers to show others exactly how to do this (or don’t have the time or desire to do so).

Then there is a another group of people that have struggled to ramp up and they possibly have a blog, they have attended social media webinars (more than one) and read about and setup landing pages and maybe a few other things but still feel they lack order to all the madness and aren’t making enough money. They may actually feel alone in the huge “internet world”.

Finally, there is a huge group out there that is just totally confused and/or intimidated by it all and not sure this is for them. They are smart people and often times great at what they do in the “offline” world but all this information and lack of order is frustrating. After all, people just want to make some money.

I am NOT pitching you on a program but I do want to read your comments as to how you feel about the above AND if you feel (a fr.ee, no cost, zippo, nada) Mastermind group that takes the complex and makes it simple would be helpful in growing your business…any business.

I am not interested in being all things to all people but I want to explore new school and old school tactics (Dan Kennedy, Jay Abraham…) and simply breaking down the confusion into bite-sized action steps as a group. Imagine being able to have some easy action steps that you can go out and do today? How about taking a complex topic and grinding it down into easy to understand and digest steps that you can easily scale and modify to suit you and your business so that you succeed just a little more?

Hello Champions,

Today I want to talk a little about The Journey to Greatness in your home based business.

What makes it a profession; and us professional? Quite simply, professionals get paid and many can earn a great income.

Often I’m asked, “What does it take to succeed in a home based or network marketing business?”

First of all, it takes at least 10-15 hours per week to build a solid business and really grow. Beyond, that professionals concentrate on “Rainmaker” activities, things that produce results. To be clear here; results are producing volume, since that is what generates your income.

In other words in the 10-15 hours per week we cannot count busy work, listening to the company CD, calling and asking your upline (again) about this or that, surfing the internet, etc.

Focus on High Payoff activities that will actually grow your business and here is what you need to do:

Learn the ability to:

1) Meet people and work a candidate list (online and offline)
2) Invite people (to what you have: links, webinars, teleconferences, company DVD, etc)
3) Follow up
4) Presenting (yes, how to present your business is critical)
5) Leadership (people want to lead those going somewhere and offering value)

Wow! “Do I have to do all that?!”

Listen, the steps are simple but you must master them, teach them to others and of course have a mentor to guide you now and along the way (critical). By the way, your mentor DOES NOT have to be someone earning 100k a month but they must have commitment, business acumen and you must respect this person and feel he/she can help you grow personally and professionally.

We often get caught up in the hype of “I generate 100 leads a day”, “I earn 50 gazillion dollars” or I built a team of 100,000 people in 10 countries in only 1 year”. If that is true, then great for them! However, you simply need to connect with someone you feel that you can partner with and grow. Choose wisely…

I want to challenge you to think about the above mentioned and then “engage” and gain momentum in your business like never before. If you’re new or not having great success; then start right here and now and make some critical decisions and go! If you’re already experiencing success; then I challenge you to “notch it up” and fly even higher. Assess where you are; where you want to be and apply correct actions to get you there.

Don’t get caught up if your Uncle Ralph “gets in” or not; don’t worry that you sponsored this “sharp gal” and now she’s doing zero; you must keep doing it and doing it and doing it!

Your Journey to Greatness is your willingness to keep doing it week in and week out; to constantly grow and yes…you must feel aligned with what you’re doing and don’t kid yourself about that.

Seth Godin wrote a book; The Dip and in short it is about “Strategic Quitting” and you need to know when it is time to re-assess and go another way. If what you’re doing resonates with you and you see a way to keep doing it; then keep doing it. However, if it is time for a change, assess, decide and do it…

Lastly, I don’t care if you do PPC, write articles, do video marketing, email, social media, classifieds, voice broadcasts, cold calling, attraction marketing, online or offline marketing or something else. The key is discipline creates freedom and you need to be consistent and keep going.

Oh, and can anyone do it and be successful? Yes, anyone CAN do it but not everyone WILL do it. Will you?

You know the title of this blog post has been discussed and argued back and forth…

Some say that doing home and hotel meetings still works and that is what you must do to succeed; then there are the online marketers that adamantly oppose home meetings, one on one presentations and say that you succeed by marketing solely online, doing online ads, PPC, landing pages, etc.

Still others say that it’s a numbers game and you need to get on the telephone and go through the numbers day in and day out.

Finally, there is the “ask me how” buttons and the “three foot rule” and more.

Here’s how to succeed in Network Marketing….

Focus on personal development so that you can become the person you always wanted to be. Who is that person you want to be as it relates to all of this?

Well, it might be the confident person, it might be the leader of the pack, it might be the network marketer that has the discipline to stay in track and really it could be a few more things. In fact, it is all these mentioned. However, the key is being a better you so any and all of the above prospecting and marketing methods will work for you.

You see, if you work on really, really developing personally; you become a magnet and people will be more open to hear about your business and joining you. You’ll be more confident and and all the concerns of “how” to grow your business seem to disappear.

When I refer to personal development; I don’t just mean read a book a month or listen to an audio. I mean read that book, mark it up, apply nuggets that you learn immediately (and read or listen to the same information multiple times). You need to be around like minded people, that are growing and have vision for a better future. Therefore, personal development really succeeds when you “apply” what you are learning, when you begin to say the things that you have read or heard and really live them.

Once you do this; the “how” will become apparent and for many it is a combination of prospecting and marketing methods and you will simply discover the methods you enjoy most and that are effective for you.

Get fired up, get your ‘WHY” very clear and focused, work on improving yourself from the inside out, while taking immediate and constant action at the same time. You can correct along the way.

As I write this post I am happy to spend it with my family and feel personal abundance in my life. As I ponder 2010 and beyond (which I tend to do more in December) I evaluate and re-evaluate what is important to me, what changes I must make and even what drastic changes are in order to strive for a life filled with love, joy, happiness, laughter, fun, excitement as well as financial abundance to do that things I want to do when I want to do them.

Therefore, I feel I/we need to consider two things and that is personal joy and professional success.

As for personal joy it is different for everyone and may include your spiritual walk, relationship with a spouse, (boyfriend, girlfriend, significant other…), children, other family members, friends as well as health and more.

This may mean that you must plug into things that you have sort of drifted away from in the last year or so. It may may you need to have more effort in the personal areas of your life that have not commanded as much attention this year and it may be time to really focus on these areas. So…decide what these areas are that lack enough joy or satisfaction and literally DECIDE to do something about it without major, major plans or complicated actions steps. As they say…Just Do It!

As for professional success; this can become tricky as success is defined differently by each person. It could be a part time income of $1,000 per month, it may be a career change with no more financial success but more satisfaction in what you do or how you contribute professionally and still yet others want to make a power move and dramatically make changes to earn a six or seven figure income annually or….?

My point in all this is we are all guilty and at one point in our life or another of putting things off, of over-thinking things too much, of quitting too early, of never starting, of information overload and of simply not taking enough or the correct action to get you closer to that dream life you desire.

Start, by asking yourself: “What do I want; what do I really want?”

It may be to travel, live in a bigger home, provide more for your children, to make a difference in the lives of others or to drive a nicer car, etc.

All in all, the question above will answer what you want and then determine WHY. Why is that important to you, why would you be willing to make changes, grow personally and more for the things you want?

My challenge to you is to once and for all figure this out. Figure what your big dream is; even if you find the task a little difficult. Maybe you had a great year and you need only make “tweaks” to continue on the correct path; yet for others it may and continues to be a tough road and one of disappointments. Don’t worry and simply decide what you want and then focus all your attention to get it and keep going and keep going.

If you sell real estate, have an online business are a network marketer, you’re an engineer, in any form of sales or whatever…the same formula applies.

I ask you….IF NOT NOW; THEN WHEN?

The answer is not always simple but without focus in this area, without attention this topic then all the action on the world may take you in the wrong direction. Worse yet; no focus, no inspiration, no purpose will mean that you really don’t take much action at all..if any.

My wish is that 2010 is a breakout year for you. My desire for you is that you find inspiration in whatever is important to you!

What dream or desire is in your heart and that you have been putting it off for weeks, months or maybe years?

Will you go another year with the same torment or will you take decisive action even it it means change; it if means getting out of your comfort zone for a while? Inspiration or irritation; pick one and get it done with the action steps to get you closer and closer.

The online world is buzzing with all kinds of ways to make money and of course all sorts of ways to generate those leads….

There are people that encourage you to buy their system so that you generate 50-100 leads daily and others that promote the “secrets” to PPC ads and how you can get 100-200 leads a day and so much more.

These are all fine but you must be careful with hype and cut through the fog to get to the truth.

Let’s look at this a but more simply for a moment. What kind of business are you in and who is your ideal client profile?

In other words, you have to look at who your ideal client is and then go where they are. It’s almost like working or thinking backwards for a minute but you need to figure out where they are and what makes them respond.

Yes, you could “shotgun” your marketing and you’ll make sales but will it be the most effective?

My main point is to identify your client and then decide on 3-5 marketing pillars in order to grow and develop your business; and keep doing the methods that work. By the way, don’t get romanced by the hype. If you can use something that generates 7 leads a day and another strategy that generates 20 and another with 4…and well you get the picture; use multiple strategies to generate the total required leads you need and keep things simple.

One could be online ads, another could be landing pages that PPC ads bring traffic to you, another could be ezine or solo ads and then you should have some offline methods; even with an online business. A couple of examples are people you know or “warm market” or a calling system; whether you do it yourself or you have a service do it for you.

There are many more way but you get the picture and the idea is to have 3-5 methods going at once so you have a constant flow of leads coming to you and some marketing campaigns will work better than others from month to month and this “multi-pillar” style allows you to keep things somewhat consistent and really grow your business.

I have been testing a new program that uses keywords to search and extract leads from the internet and then a system that calls them for you; it’s a numbers game and I like that it’s very simple to use, (non-techie) and inexpensive. This could be one method of the 3-5 to keep running in order to generate the adequate number of leads. I will be writing a review and doing a video on this soon; so look for it.

The bottom line: Employ the “multi-pillar” strategy, launch online and offline strategies no matter your business type and after all you are building a list of people that will eventually know, like and trust you.

Take some risk here and there and maintain the methods that work for you in play and rotate the lesser successes in and out.

I am a coach and have been coached, (fee based) and I can tell you it works!

Although, I like motivation…I am not talking motivation here…

I am referring to the fact that people excel when they have someone to truly hold them accountable.

Although, a spouse or a friend may be someone that cheers you on; rarely does that cover the need for coaching to help you succeed.

You might be in some form of sales, Real Estate, Lending or independent in Network Marketing and all these have either a boss or group calls…which are awesome…(but)

However, I am referring to having someone literally know your goals, understands what you want and why and then holds you accountable.

Take a moment and decide if you are achieving your goals and if you are on track…

Next, decide who can serve this purpose to hold you accountable. One option is to pay a fee coach and it would be worth it. Another option for those of you in MLM is to discover if your sponsor truly has this capability to help you grow.

Often times, we get caught up in the company, the product, the compensation plan or the BIG GURU distributor but these are all secondary if you cannot stay on track, (back to a coaching again).

You can listen to group calls and personal growth audios, read great books and all of these are a big help but again…nothing like someone holding your feet to the fire.

So find that person that can help you grow, find that coach that will help you make a huge difference it your life and then pay it forward.
